The Fruitman began as a market stall, in 2006, selling fresh fruit and vegetables on local markets in the West Midlands.
In order to reach more customers and provide them with a better service, this quickly developed into a home delivery scheme, taking orders by e-mail and phone.
The scheme proved highly sucessful. Customers clearly liked using a small local business to supply them with locally sourced produce. They told us they also liked the convenient deliveries without having to use a major supermarket chain.
We soon saw the potential to develop a delivery service which could roll out across the entire UK.
The Fruitman.co.uk was born.
The Fruitman.co.uk is the first national independant fruit and veg delivery service. We use a network of local greengrocers from across the country to supply you with fresh produce, wherever you are.
All of the fruit and vegetables you order have been locally sourced in your region, and some will also have been locally grown. Less food miles benefits the environment, so you needn't feel too guilty about having it delivered to your door!
You will also be supporting small local businesses in your area, and helping your local economy. There are more grocers signing up the Fruitman all the time, and we aim to eventually cover the entire country.
